Initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks to develop a soft, mellow character, it is then finished in hand-selected sherry casks from esteemed cooperages in southern Spain. The result is a whisky with a warm amber gold hue and a rich flavour profile. On the nose, expect notes of vanilla, caramel, banana, and a touch of sweet milk chocolate with fresh ginger. The palate unfolds in layers of maple syrup, raisin, and orange, rounded out with hints of apricot and melon.

An inviting nose where barbeque smoke and cloves are intermingled with fresh notes of butterscotch and orange peel. On the pallet a fascinating blend of Applewood smoke, honey and all spice are married with stewed pears and fresh grilled pineapple. This whisky has, unusually, been distilled using peated malted barley. The GlenDronach 'peated' pays homage to the peat historically used to dry malted barley in the traditional floor maltings. Matured in bourbon casks followed by a second period of maturation in the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.
