A portion of nobly botrytic fruit has produced a distinctive style of wine. It has a core of citrus fruit characters, particularly lemons and limes, but there is also an undercurrent of white fleshed peaches and nectarines. The botrytis has added hints of honeysuckle and also given the wine extra concentration and richness. A seam of natural acidity and minerality flows through the wine and gives it an off-dry finish length and zest.

The wine shows a complex interplay of tropical fruit characters with elements of passion-fruit, mango and paw paw, supported by impressions of ripe gooseberries and dried herbs. It is fruity and mouth filling but yet has a refreshing spine of crisp acidity which keeps it focussed and helps draw out its length.

Crisp and clean this is our most successful vintage of Sauvignon blanc and is perfectly suited to the local Te Matuku Oysters which are farmed close to Man O' War, or similarly the abundant seafood that thrive in the surrounding coastal waters.

Ironclad shows dark fruits; plums and berries, wildflowers, crushed rock, and iodine, all creating a complex and lifted aroma profile. The palate shows good density which is balanced with coastal freshness and finishes with a core of powerful tannins. A rare dominance of Merlot over Cabernet Franc gives the wine good early accessibility but clearly a wine suited to ageing.

Pinot gris for the Exiled comes from the St Helena clone of Pinot gris and is grown on both Waiheke and Ponui Islands. The wines are chilled to below zero to stop the fermentation before blending, the blend is held at low temperatures in the cellar until bottling to retain as much of the natural carbon dioxide as possible.

Our Pinque Rose wine is remarkably consistent year on year and the 2019 is no different. Pale salmon in colour with fresh and inviting red berry characters matching a clean, crisp and fresh palate. The 2019 Pinque is a perfect all season aperitif or served as a refreshing taste of summer!

A complex bouquet of lime zest, pink grapefruit and classic wet stone minerality. Lush and fleshy with a complex blend of powerful Sauvignon fruit character, these bold flavours and plush textures are given length and definition by brisk, juicy acids that cleanse and freshen the palate.

Fruit notes of white fleshed stone fruits and ripe citrus zest lead to the rich, creamy mid-palate, with oak derived notes of grilled nuts and baking spice.

Made with a nod to Provence, this lighter style rosé has aromas of candied pear and mango with underlying secondary notes of brioche and honeycomb. The focused palate delivers stone fruit flavours while a full-bodied mouthfeel lingers on the palate carrying a juicy acidity.

Wonderful aromatics of dark cherries and dried herbs and spices instantly grab your attention on the nose of this elegant Pinot Noir. On the first sip, your palate is greeted with soft, rich fruit flavours with a hint of spice. The moreish tannins and a velvety texture make for an impressive finish.

Deep crimson, lifted aromatic notes of Doris plum, dark fruits, chocolate, violet and dusty herbs. The grapes for this wine are sourced from the Tietjen's vineyard in the Hexton Hills appellation of Gisborne. Grown on Kaiti clay loam soil and planted in 2009, the fruit is 100% leaf plucked around the fruit zone and only two canes are laid down to ensure good ripeness, colour and texture in the wine.
